Up and coming MLS stars of 2016
Soccer staff at Bleacher report have been working hard at finding the best talent for 2016. They named the “100 players to watch in world football in 2016” and this list includes 6 MLS players. This list also includes a player that will hopefully become an MLS player in the near future.
The top of the list saw the FC Barcelona and the Brazil National team player Neymar. He was ranked “based on how compelling (a player’s) storyline is” moving into 2016. William Alexander “Wil” Trapp who plays as a midfielder for Columbus Crew SC in Major League Soccer and the United States National team was placed at No 43. He was ranked as the highest MLS player.
The list then featured New York Red Bulls left back Kemar Lawrence (No. 45), his RBNY teammate Matt Miazga (No. 47), reigning MVP Sebastian Giovinco (No. 71), up-and-coming NYCFC star Kwadwo Poku (No. 90) and Portland Timbers right back Alvas Powell (No. 98).
The Seattle sounders star Jordan Morris is considering joining the MLS. Fans are eagerly waiting to find out if the star will go pro.
The young American soccer player Ethan Horvath, was also placed at number 50. 2016 will hopefully see the star emerge on to the international playing field. Hopefully Horvath will then be able to leave the Norwegian club to the Europa League, which will then bring them face to face with Spain’s Sevilla beginning in February.
